Amazing campgrounds! Boat in sites right on the lake! Nice and remote!
Relaxing. Most sites are secluded. The big and beautiful lake. Have no luck with fishing but no regrets about.
2016 was our second trip to Forked Lake Campground and we loved it as much as the first time. Beautifully scenic camping sites on the lake and a bear box & outhouse at each site, and the sites are all spaced out pretty well so that you're not too close to your neighbors. Highly recommend this. We also did a hike up Coney Mountain not too far from Long Lake and it was amazing - about 30 minutes to the summit and the views would be worth a hike twice as long and hard.
My family has been camping here for 3 generations. This is primitive camping so don't expect sparkling clean outhouses or manicured sites. The lake is gorgeous and most sites have a decent amount of privacy. It's our favorite summer vacation spot.
My favorite camping spot in the Adirondacks. Great place to get away from it all. Bring or rent a boat and grab a site - all of which are on the water. Campsites are nice and spaced out and has a great atmosphere. Go hike nearby Blue Mountain the next day.
